Had to restore Kindle Paperwhite, HELP…

I, being the divine dumbnut I am, forgot the code to unlock my kindle. I worked on it for hours, but ultimately had to restore it. I had the kindle registered and stuff, but how do I get all my books back? I easily had over $100 of books, and I’m almost positive there is a way to get them back.

Register the Kindle, and there should be an Archived Items folder that lists all of your purchases. Select them and then download them. You can also go to Amazon and then Manage Your Kindle and send the books to the Kindle from there once it’s registered.

how to get a book from pc kindle and download it to your kindle device.

I bought a book on my kindle pc and I want to download it to my kindle device.I’ve tried.useing manage my kindle but it only shows up with the pc not the kindle ?

Note – If it’s a textbook or other huge exact-image book it may say on the sales page that it can only be read on tablets and computers. The normal way to get an Amazon-purchased ebook onto another device is…1. Make sure the new device is registered to the same Amazon account2. Make sure the new device has internet connectivity. If it is a Wifi-only Kindle make sure its Wifi is ON (in Settings that is Airplane Mode Off) and that it can connect to your home Wifi network (or you work Wifi network or wherever you have access to a Wifi network). If it’s a 3G paperwhite then just make sure Airplane mode is off.3. On a computer, go to Manage Your Kindle. Find the ebook in your list of Amazon-purchased Kindle content there. To the right pick Action.. Deliver to… and choose your Kindle device. Now the ebook should get delivered to the Kindle—The alternate way on the Kindle to download already-purchased ebooks – once the Kindle is registered to your account and has internet access, it will HAVE a list of all of the Kindle ebooks that account it is registered to owns. On some Kindles click the word Cloud on the main Library page. On others choose Archived Items from the menu. Now you will see a list of the ebooks that Amazon account owns. Click the ones you want to download.NOTE – If you bought the ebook elsewhere (not at Amazon) then none of the above will work. You will have to manually drag the ebook over USB to the Documents folder of an eInk Kindle or to the Books folder of a Kindle Fire tablet.

Books i own to kindle (UK).

Hi i was wondering if i could somehow get a copy of the books that i own onto my kindle paperwhite and if possible how do i do this?? many thanks in advance Amy

You have to buy them again as ebooks. What I did when I switched to ereading (and found to to be less strain on my eyes) was I went through a lot of my physical books (still working on this) and there were only about 6-8 that I like to re-read once in a while. I bought those in ebook format and donated the physical versions along with my other physical books to the library. I am mainly only keeping physical books with special printing, valuable signed/first editions, and craft/art/cook books in physical form as well as a few books I plan to loan to family members. If there are any classic books you want (Treasure island, Little Women, Tale of Two Cities etc) then you should be able to find free versions at Amazon UK.Ways to find new legally free books…I also get a lot of indie and new author books when they are free (may only be free for a day or two) – Here is a UK site to help you find new ones at Amazon UK:http://www.dailyfreebooks.co.uk/And you can always got to the main Kindle Ebooks page at Amazon UK, pick the Bestsellers link, then click Top 100 Free to see the Top 100 Free ebooks.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Sellers-Kin…Then you can click into categories on the left to see the Top 100 Free in one category.———-If what you meant to ask is how to download Kindle EBOOKS you already own to your new Paperwhite – just go to the Manage Your Kindle page at Amazon UK and you will find a list of all of the Kindle ebooks you own. To the right of each pick Deliver To… and choose the Paperwhite that’s registered to your account. The Paperwhite will need to connect to a Wifi network (unless you bought the 3G Paperwhite).Manage Your Kindle at Amazon UKhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/digital/fiona…Alternately – once you register your Paperwhite with the same Amazon account that owns the Kindle books, when the Paperwhite connects to the net it will get a “Cloud” list of all of the Kindle books you have previously purchased at Amazon. The home Library list page of the Paperwhite also has the word “Cloud” – click that to see your cloud list, and you should be able to touch (or maybe hold finger on) book in list to download it to your Kindle. (again requires a Wifi network unless you have a 3G Paperwhite)

does the kindle paperwhite actually feel like a real book.

I want to get the kindle paperwhite but I’m afraid I’m not going to like it because it’s a screen.?!

Obviously you wont be able to get the feel of “paper” from a Kindle Paperwhite as it is an electronic device. The thing that a book and a Paperwhite has in common is that the reading experience gets the same as on “Books”.Actual books vs Kindle Paperwhite – Take a look on how does it compares:http://compare-e-readers.com/KindleVsBookThe Kindle does the job pretty well. I.e You can carry around over 1100 books at a time, which is more like the whole library at a time. And it just becomes a lot easier reading on an electronic device with every feature related to reading. I.e an online community to share stuff with friends, downloading books under 60 seconds, vocabulary builder, font options and the cheap price for eBooks compared to paper backs.Hope this helped!

Kindle Users. How do I put ebooks on my kindle.

I have a file downloaded as epub. I then changed it to mobi but that wouldnt open. How do I actually get these ebooks onto my kindle? Thank you

1. Make sure you can open the converted mobi with Calibre or Kindle app. If it can’t be opened on computer, you will have no way to open and read on Kindle, either.2. If the converted mobi can’t be opened, you can convert the original EPUB to PDF, which is also supported by Kindle. Thought PDF is not as readable as MOBI, a complete PDF is much better than a corrupted Kindle MOBI.3. Copy and paste the converted MOBI or PDF to your Kindle via the USB cable. How to transfer books to Kindle.http://www.epubor.com/transfer-books-to-…

I can only seem to be able to tap on them and be given a chance to delete them. How do I read books on my Kindle Fire.

I just purchased this Kindle Fire and am unsure of how to read books on it. I have over ten books presently in my Kindle Library, albeit I am unaware of how to read them. Please, advise.

There are two views – all ebooks you own at Amazon and just the ebooks that are downloaded to your device (your readable ebooks). On a new Paperwhite they are called All Books and Downloaded and you can download them from All Books, then have to go to the Downloaded view to read them.On earlier Kindle ereaders the two views were called Cloud and On Device.A Fire probably follows one of those two conventions, though its Downloaded aka On Device view may be called Carousel or Home. Here are all of the Kindle User Guides – read the ones for your model..http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/d…

How do we determine which amazon kindle or kindle fire to purchase.

I am new to this and noticed that kindle fires on amazons site range from 115 to 600! All i want to do is download books for reading. Also are there any monthly or additional charges?

Downloading a book takes merely around 60 seconds on a stable connection. And then you can read that book you’ve downloaded without requiring any kind of internet connection. So you would need to be connected to internet for only that specific time. So if you have a WiFi at home and you merely need a device for reading books then the Kindle you are looking for is “Kindle Paperwhite WiFi only”.Here’s a list of all Kindles currently in market and a comparison between them to help you out in deciding which one suits you better:http://compare-e-readers.com/whichkindleThe Kindle Paperwhite with 3g would cost you a bit more, but you dont actually have to pay any kind of monthly or yearly fees for the 3g service, but that 3g service is only useful if you wish to download books on-the-go, without having to hunt for free WiFi hotspot.Hope this helped!
